Just Imagine . . .

In 2008, the United States Government will spend $223 billion more than it will take in! In addition, Congress has increased the national debt ceiling to nine trillion dollars! These numbers are not only beyond our ability to comprehend, they are truly obscene. More than $272 billion tax dollars taken in by Uncle Sam goes to pay just the interest on the debt. Just imagine what could be done with this money if the government balanced the budget and reined in the national debt! My pledge to you is this: I will add a strong voice to the Republican Party in Congress. I will use my vote to support the Balanced Budget Amendment, to support the line-item veto, and to vote against excessive spending at all levels.

"Red States - - Blue States." We hear it all the time, but what does it mean? The answer is that Red States voted Republican in the last presidential election and Blue States voted Democratic. But if you look closely at the map below, you'll see that red and blue are broken down by counties, and that the red is everywhere (even covering most of the states considered blue!). These are the Republicans who represent the future of American politics - strong, fiscally conservative, family oriented, and champions of business, the middle class and poor, and of all Americans.

Dear Fellow Idahoans,

Nothing has hurt America more than the run away scandal called Deficit Spending and the National Debt. These two issues alone have paralyzed our government and have kept it from making real progress. Make no mistake about it, politicians in both parties are responsible. But it's the Democrats who have demonstrated a consistent lack of fiscal responsibility. Yet, these same Democrats are back in control of Congress and have voted to spend every tax dollar we have given them plus nine trillion and counting. I, for one, intend to do everything possible to stop their reckless spending, and to restore balance in government.

It's not only time for a change, it's time to start building a Congress capable of handling these issues. The modern Republican Party is doing just that. Please talk with family and friends about these important issues and urge them to join us in making a difference. I am asking you to return to Washington the fiscal sanity of our parents and grandparents. I am asking you to send me to Washington so that Idaho can be a part of this important conservative movement. I am asking for your vote in the May 27th primary.
